Thanks to the Rural Health Initiative for reminding us and everyone involved in the ag industry, that it's important to take care of your health at this time of year.
Farmers vaccinate their animals to safeguard against disease and illness. The RHI strongly encourage farmers to vaccinate themselves, too. Less sick days ensures farmers can remain in the fields and barn, as well as enjoy the remaining time, if only a few minutes per day, enjoying it with family.
An influenza (flu) vaccine can help reduce sick time, as well as save lives. It can be given as an injection (shot) or through nasal (mist) administration. Ask you health professional what is best for you and your family.
