Hundreds of dairy producers from Wisconsin, the Midwest and the nation will descend on Madison for the second annual Dairy Strong convention and trade show on Jan. 12-14.
And dairy farmers who register by Nov. 1 can attend the event at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center for free.
Here are a few reasons farmers and others in the ag industry may want to attend:
Be inspired: Dairy Strong provides farmers and dairy professionals with the opportunity to hear from renowned national speakers. Dairies come in all shapes and sizes and the community needs tools to carry this message to our customers. In agriculture, public criticism seems to come with the territory. It’s easy to get defensive when your livelihood is misunderstood. Sessions like the US Farmers & Ranchers Alliance Food Dialogue will help re-energize farmers about the work they do.
Have fun: Famers sometimes forget to have fun in a world that often seems to lack enough hours in a day. Farmers can refresh, recharge and continue learning at Dairy Strong. In addition to innovative and practical sessions to help farmers improve their dairies, speakers like Jim Gaffigan will entertain the crowd and lighten the mood with some serious laughs.
Every dairy that registers by Nov. 1 will receive two free passes to attend Dairy Strong. Transportation and hotel are on your own, but all meals and sessions are included. To attend, go to www.dairystrong.org and register using the password “DairyStrong”
Industry professionals are also invited to attend Dairy Strong. For a full slate of registration options, a tentative schedule and to get updates about Dairy Strong, go to www.dairystrong.org. Sponsorships and exhibitor booth space are also available.
