MADISON, Wis. – Three finalists have been named for the Wisconsin Leopold Conservation Award, which honors Wisconsin landowner achievements in voluntary stewardship and management of natural resources. 
This year's finalists are David Leslie Meuer of Meuer Farm LLC, a crop and beef-cattle farm near Chilton; Ronald Brooks of Brooks Dairy Farm, a crop and dairy farm near Waupaca; and Milk Source LLC of Kaukauna, which owns four dairies in Wisconsin and two in Kansas and Michigan.
The award is given in honor of conservationist Aldo Leopold, the award recognizes extraordinary achievement in voluntary conservation. In his book, “A Sand County Almanac,” Leopold called for an ethical relationship between people and the land they own and manage.
The winner will be announced in December.
