Attracting and maintaining the right employees for a business is key to its success. The Professional Dairy Producers is offering PDPW Human Resource (H.R.) Training for Dairy…Cultivating Your Team on Feb. 2-3 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Madison, Wis.
“H.R. Training for Dairy…Cultivating Your Team” will be led by Melissa O’Rourke, farm and agribusiness management specialist and attorney with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. The meeting is designed to help dairy farmers find the optimal employees for their business, develop those employees to their full potential and implement training and planning procedures for their dairy.
More specifically, during this highly interactive training, attendees will learn proper interviewing, recruitment and termination techniques and assemble HR templates. At the end of the day, participants will not only take home their new knowledge, but also a reference binder, full templates and an employee handbook.
This training was developed by dairy farmers for dairy farmers, in order to promote profitable, sustainable dairy businesses. The training runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day and participants can attend one or both days. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available to veterinarians who attend this training.
