Fox Valley Technical College has a new piece of equipment – a bovine simulator named Maple Leaf Foxy – that will help teach and train its agriculture students.
Maple Leaf Foxy is a teaching simulator for the calving process and other reproductive changes. The unit, which includes a full-developed calf, will be used in all of FVTC’s ag associate degree, technical diploma, and farm operations programs.
The simulator will be used in classes starting in mid-April and will allow students to better understand calving time and be able to provide better care for cattle.
